About Barn Door Photography

I’m Ian Moulson, the photographer behind Barn Door Photography. Based in Outwell, I work across Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and the wider East of England.

My photography has a natural, observational style. I enjoy creating portraits that show character, landscapes that hold a sense of place and images that capture moments without making them feel forced.

My Approach

I prefer photographs that feel natural rather than heavily staged, although I provide clear direction when it is needed. My background in public service and healthcare has taught me to work calmly, communicate clearly and remain discreet in busy or sensitive environments.

Alongside commissioned work, I am studying for a BA in Photography through the Open College of the Arts. This continues to develop how I work with people, landscape and visual storytelling.
